Puppy Life Lessons 101– Ages 10 weeks – 6 months

This class is great for: (can be done in conjunction to Puppy Play or Beginner Puppy Life Lessons)

Required for enrollment:

  • Proof of Current Vaccinations (Bordetella within the last 6 months, Rabies, DHPP)
  • Proof of negative Ova & Parasite test including giardia antigen test—within the last 60 days
  • A Signed Waiver

For your dog’s safety, your dog will not be able to play if proof of negative fecal and current vaccination records are not presented before class. We take your puppies health to heart.  Please refer to the link below for additional valuable information regarding socialization and vaccinations.

What to bring to class:

  • Notepad & pen
  • Edible chews & treats to give to your dog as other dogs enter the room. Reward them for being quiet & calm.
  • Your dog that has been moderately exercised
  • A hungry dog! – DO NOT FEED your dog before class.
  • A rug, blanket or bed to work on the “settle” exercise.
  • Treats: A variety of treats to each class. Have them pea-sized or smaller.
    • Hot dogs
    • Baked or boiled meat
    • Raw freeze-dried complete meals or treats
    • Anything juicy and super smelly
  • Treat Bag
  • Your dog on a 6-8 ft leash (Recommend: Brahma or leather) and one of the following:
    • Flat collar or martingale collar
    • Front attaching harness
    • Head Halter (Halti) – Please No prong collars, choke chains or retractable leashes
  •  An item for your dog to stay busy during down time.
    •  A frozen Stuffed Kong
    •  Bully stick

Meet the Instructors:

Wendy and Tatyana completed a training apprenticeship program and became trainers for one of Seattle’s premier dog training facilities. They have years of hands on experience through training a variety of dogs of differing temperament and ages.  They are well versed in both private and group instruction. Wendy is CPDT-KA certified and has over 7 years of experience.
